Designate a Water Guardian

Drowning is the number one cause of death for children under five and 69% of children who drown do so while not swimming. Drowning prevention requires layers of barriers, but designated supervision is essential.

We’ve provided a Water Guardian lanyard and badge for our guests during your stay. Created by not-for-profit foundation, Levi’s Legacy, we advise that a responsible adult should at all times be designated as water guardian for any children in the home and wear the Water Guardian badge as a reminder of their responsibility.

Sweet Magnolia’s private pool is only accessible from the house through gates and doors that can lock, but children often and easily find creative ways around these barriers. This means the water guardian should be mindful of children around any type of water even while cooking, unloading the car, nap time, etc.

Please leave the Water Guardian badge for the next Sweet Magnolia guest to use. We hope your stay is fun, but most importantly - safe!
